The Blank Staples concept was conceived and created by H&M’s menswear team, and designed with the lifestyle and increasingly relaxed dress codes of the modern man in mind. A concise collection with a subtle yet highly considered aesthetic, featuring contemporary key pieces such as the hoodie, sweatshirt, long sleeve, jogger and tee.
Making streetwear that goes beyond the mainstream is all about details: the silhouette that comes from the drop of a shoulder, the proportion of the sweatpants, and the amount of width in the neckline rib. However, the ultimate make or break of a garment comes down to the feel. This line is cut from premium materials like 460 g French Terry cotton and 240 g heavyweight single jersey, curated in a timely colour pallet of tobacco, off white, black and brown.
To elevate these basics beyond their original superiority, H&M has formed an exclusive partnership with Highsnobiety — the hugely influential magazine, media brand and creative agency celebrated for their expertise, knowledge and credibility within the streetwear segment. With their ability to forecast “the next big thing” for the style-conscious youth of today, this continuous collaboration promises lots of future fashion excitement.

Fischer launched the Berlin media brand in 2005, which has since accumulated a dedicated following as well as the acclaim of the industry. As the season develops, their involvement will turn Blank Staples from a blank canvas into something more elaborate, and artful, as global creatives make their own mark on the collection in limited edition drops. Each piece comes with a blank label, and a custom core logo designed by Highsnobiety that plays on traditional care labels, where each symbol tells the story of the collection and its ethos.
Blank Staples is also a chance for you to channel your own artistic talents. Consider this a call to create: sew, write, paint, print, paste and decorate — or whatever way you like to express yourself. Even more importantly, make sure that these pieces are worn, reused and ultimately recycled. Only you can make them last.
