Hemming a pair of jeans

No 13/79

Hemming jeans with style is easy.

You need:

Sewing machine and too-long-jeans.

How to:

1. Try them on, fold the legs where you want the new hem.

2. Turn the jeans inside out and fold the hem with half of your desired length, measured from the original seam at the end of the leg. Pin it across.

3. Sew the new seam right along the edge of the hem. Take out your pins carefully.

4. Turn your jeans back again.

5. Press your jeans, making sure the new seam is exactly next to the old one. Done!
