Taking care of wool
No 18/79
Wool keeps clean for long without washing. Its antibacterial properties help keep the garment fresh, all on its own.
How to:
Air it out
Simply hang your woollens up, even better if you can do it outside.
Brush it
A clothing brush prevents pilling and releases its natural oils which rejuvenates the material. Give it a little extra brush where the garment is most subjected to friction, under arms and where you hang your bag.
Spot clean
Get rid of stains with our washing. Just dab the stain away gently with lukewarm water and a little detergent (not too much). Never use bleach, never hot water.
Be careful
If there is a line beneath the wash basin symbol, it means the garment should be washed in a gentle wash and with no or very low spin cycle. If not followed correctly this will cause pillage, felting and shrinkage.
Dry it
No knits in the dryer, please! Instead, wrap your sweater in a towel and gently squeeze out excess water. Then lay it flat on another towel to absorb any extra moisture, and gently reshape them. No twisting or hanging, it will damage the fibres and lose shape.
Store it
Once dried, fold your woollens and keep them in your drawer until next time.
